Youth Sports
Have you ever thought about being a positive influence on a child by
serving as a coach? Then, think about volunteering as a coach at the
YMCA. If you are new to coaching and feel intimidated, don’t fret. If
you are a “seasoned veteran” and need a refresher, we’ve got you
covered. The YMCA will help you to coach using our core values of
honesty, caring, responsibility and respect. We’ll help you with things
like sportsmanship, overcoming adversity, First Aid and safety skills ,
and of course how to break a sport down and teach it to young
players. If you are interested in coaching, please pick up a coaches
packet at the YMCA Front Desk.
