This course is designed to provide the participants with the knowledge and skills needed to be a lifeguard. It presents information on the basic skills and
knowledge lifeguards need in pool, lake, river, surf, and waterpark environments. The comprehensive course offers up-to-date information on how to
guard by anticipating and preventing problems before they occur and by taking action to help those in danger when necessary. It also covers safety and
survival skills every swimmer needs to know, accident prevention, guarding techniques, emergency systems, rescue skills, first aid in aquatic
environments, spinal injury management, weather and open water dangers, legal responsibilities, pool management, and information on how to get a
job as a lifeguard.

MAY 5th 5PM-10PM, 6th 9AM-9PM, 7th 9AM-9PM
REGISTRATION DEADLINES: APRIL 28th (For MAY 5th class)
MAY 12th 10AM-9PM, 13th 9AM-9PM, 14th 9AM-2PM
REGISTRATION DEADLINES: MAY 5th (For MAY 12th class)
- 100% attendance at all days is required in addition to
online training segments.
- Participant must be 16 or older by the first day of class
- Fee MUST be paid in full at time of registration and includes
the online portion. **No refunds will be giving once
online portion has begun, because the YMCA is charged
to enroll you in the class.
Lifeguarding Fees $200.00
The online training portion is required to be completed prior to
date indicated above, if this is not completed you will no longer
be enrolled and no refunds will be given.
