Who is Kat Long?
Kat Long is a picky eater by
necessity, not choice.  She is
not vegan, or vegetarian.  She
eats meat when she knows
where it came from and tries to
source foods as local as
possible.  "Food is life; a good,
sourced food is a better life."
For her first 36 years of life, she
ate well and often.  Picky wasn't
part of the equation; just tasty
and yummy.   Starbucks was a
particular favorite.  A gall
bladder attack at age 38 (and
the two years prior to that
attack) made Long very aware
of the need to pay more
attention not only to what she
was eating, but how she was
eating it and where the food
came from in the first place.
She shares her 10 years of
collected "because I have to"
food info with anyone who asks
and loves to do classes, write
about and mentor those who
find themselves in the "have to"
column of life.
